Atlanta is a renegade in possession of Nivalis, the Tyrant of Frost.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
She has blue, middle-length hair, tied up in a spiky ponytail. She has a scar on the bridge of her nose, and her facial expression always has some mischief to it, especially when smiling. She wears short clothing, with a black shirt and blue jeans that have different leg length. Above these short clothes she wears a white fur cape, completed with some sort of yellow claws decorating its edges and serving as clasps. To complete her outfit, she wears black gloves and goggles propped up on her head.
Personality[]
She seems to be a rather malicious person or, at the very least, has a dark sense of humor. This can be seen in the way she jokes about trying to kidnap us or eat us (probably referring to Nivalis with that). Although kidnapping us would have been a necessity to protect herself against the Guild, the choice of freezing people and joking about her deeds goes beyond that need.
Besides this, she’s shown to not be very intelligent, such as when she repeatedly gives away her location by freezing entire regions. This does not make her entirely unreasonable, as she doesn’t hesitate in joining us when it’s the most convenient choice, as seen when fighting Lobo’s cultists.
Story[]
In Nexomon: Extinction[]
Atlanta used to be a member of the Tamer's Guild, but after opposing Amelie in her second attempt to create a new type of Nexomon, she was branded as a renegade. She controls the Tyrant Nivalis, spending most of her time fleeing from every other faction: the Tamer's Guild, the cultists and even other renegades.
This was the case for her first appearance at the Frozen Lake. She had been fleeing from Edward and Bonnie for a while and had settled down there, freezing the surrounding area. As she attempted to take the player and their company as hostages, the Grandmaster and scientist appeared, forcing her to flee.
She tries to hide in New Ignitia later, where Jin and his Tyrant Mulcimer were wreaking havoc. Instead of being hunted by the renegade of fire, he sends the player to hunt Atlanta down, taking Ross as a hostage to force them to do so. As it always happens with her, the surrounding area had been frozen, giving away her location. She flees again after fighting the player.
We learn from her persecution by Lobo's cultists when we visit the Cursed Tower to defeat them there. She had been tracked them for a long time, so she decided to join the fight for the time being until the player showed up. Since all Guild members are her enemies as well, she fights them and flees afterwards.
Some time after Vados is introduced to the public, she loses Nivalis as she gets blasted by the artificial Tyrant while Atlanta was planning her next move at the Cursed Tower. It seems that she didn't leave the area after this, as the player sees her heading back to the tower when they're trying to resurrect Nivalis. She's being attacked again by the cultists, but this time she sides with the player against them. After that, she doesn't oppose their plan of resurrecting her Tyrant, but doesn't stay with around either.
She finally joins the plan to defeat Vados after Lobo recruits her as well as the other renegades. She takes part on the planning, but doesn't participate in the fight itself.
Post-game[]
The only mention about her during the post-game is by the Admin, who tells us she has a lot of paperwork to do in order to get the renegades pardoned as per the player's request. She has also released her Tyrant.
Abyssals DLC[]
She appears in the Precursor Valley, where we can talk to her, but doesn’t take part in any specific events of the story line.
Trivia[]
- She displays two different Nexomon teams:
- Blizzarm, Nivalis, Hyphoon and Domigator during the Tyrant Mulcimer quest.
- Antarzen, Blizzaur, Nivalis, Varawirl and Shardrillion during The Cursed Tower quest.
- She was branded as a renegade shortly after the dragon outbreak that destroyed the lab at the Drake Isles, meaning she's been running from the Guild for around fifteen years.
- She freezes everywhere she settles on, but seems to be unaware of how this gives away her position.
- Similar to other renegades, she probably has control of water.
- After we resurrect Nivalis, she comments on how her Tyrant is now more docile. This could imply it wasn't easy to control her.
- Based on other Tyrants, Nivalis might have been hatched with Merida's help, but no interaction between the two was ever shown.
