The Confusion condition is a status effect that causes a Nexomon to have a chance of being unable to attack for the duration of the effect. Hurting itself in the process.
Effect[]
In general, a confused Nexomon has a chance to damaging itself instead of attacking.
Nexomon 1[]
A confused Nexomon would never be able to attack and instead take 10% of its health in damage each turn while confused.
Nexomon: Extinction[]
A confused Nexomon now has a 35% chance each turn to stop skill use, and deals 8% of its HP in damage if it does.

Curing[]
The Confusion effect can be cured with the use of an Anti Confusion.
In Nexomon: Extinction, the skills Dispell and Renovate can also cure this status ailment. There are no similar skills in Nexomon 1.
Prevention[]
In Nexomon: Extinction, the skills Wind Song and Psychic Armor can protect against any status ailments, including this one. The skill Resistance can reduce the chance of being affected by 50%. The skill Invincible can protect against it during the turn in which it was used. Immunity Cores can also reduce the chance of being affected by it.
There are no similar skills or items in Nexomon 1, as all protective skills only grant resistance to damage.

Trivia[]
- In Nexomon 1, skills that cause both damage and confusion are quite overpowered because of the way the status effect works. The skill will cause damage and the status effect will cause and additional 10% on each turn. Because the skill can continue inflicting confusion every time it's used, the opponent has a low chance to recover from it before fainting.
