Hilda is the Overseer of Phantom Citadel, and, unlike the other Overseers, doesn't work for the Nexolord.
Nexomon[]
Hilda is the Overseer of the Phantom Citadel. Like her mentor, Khan, she opposes the Nexolord, placing a curse on the town that turns the people there into ghosts to protect them from the Nexolord's wrath.
The player is sent to speak to speak with Hilda after being warped to the Phantom Citadel by Khan. After speaking with the graveyard keeper, Alfred, the player realizes that their companion, Deena, has disappeared, having been taken by Hilda. After making it through Hilda's endless maze, the player properly meets Hilda, who challenges them to a Nexomon battle to test their strength. After defeating her, she reveals the true reason she turned the people of the Phantom Citadel into ghosts, promising to revoke the curse when the Nexolord is defeated.
She connects the player with the spirit of Ulzar.
She is apart of the group who helps the player while facing Omnicron.
Nexomon: Extinction[]
After the defeat of Omnicron, a new breed of Tyrants known as Abyssal Tyrants began to appear. Before Hilda could reverse the effects of the curse, she was killed by one of these Abyssal Tyrants, Venefelis. Unable to bring back her people, Hilda's spirit remained dormant for centuries until Eliza was born. Hilda would train Eliza, guiding her in running the Immortal Citadel like she did. Once Eliza took over, Hilda's spirit would move to the hidden village in the jungle, using her powers to prevent the local Tyrant, Tikala, from being detected by both Dragons and Vados.
After Solus unintentionally resurrects the Abyssal Tyrants, Hilda joins the player in saving Eliza from Kroma, who's sole goal is to kill Eliza and crush the Immortal Citadel. It is also revealed during the post-game that the Hero from Nexomon defeated Venefelis after Hilda's death, and that Kroma had originally been defeated by Deena when it appeared.
Personality[]
To the general public, Hilda is seen as a terrifying witch who has cursed the people of the Phantom Citadel for her own sick enjoyment. After meeting her, however, it is revealed that she is in fact a very caring woman who has devoted herself to keeping the people of the Phantom Citadel safe (even after her death). She takes pride in her work, and enjoys teasing those around. She does get frustrated with those around her, and clearly knows more than she speaks on, but her input is irreplaceable regardless.
Appearance[]
In Nexomon, Hilda is a pale-skinned young woman with dull purple and teal hair pulled into pigtails with skulls around them. She wears a dress with a black turtle neck that flares off her shoulders, puffy, translucent dark green sleeves, and a black chest area with white markings akin to that of a spider's web. The skirt of the dress is teal.
In Nexomon: Extinction, Hilda's appearance only slightly changes. Her hair is down, and the previously spider web chest piece is replaced with a silver corset. The skirt of her dress has also taken on a deep green color, and the skulls previously in her hair are now around her neck as a necklace.
