Logan is a renegade in possession of Bolzen, the Tyrant of Thunder.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

He has blond, messy hair, with a scar crossing his right temple and goggles covering his eyes. His facial expression tends to take on a deranged look, especially when smiling. His attire is composed of a lab coat as the base, with tubes connected to metal pieces in the collar and forearms. His head is partially surrounded by a broken glass helmet. He also has six bulb-like rods protruding from his back.

Personality[]

He's very focused on his investigations, leaving aside morals if needed for the sake of science. This also leads him to want to investigate anything that gets his attention, such as the resurrection machine, without caring too much about the consequences. That focus doesn't make him any less power-hungry than other renegades, as he still wants to use his Tyrant to gain power. However, he's more underhanded, planning to wait until Vados is weakened from getting rid of all other Tyrants before betraying Amelie and defeating him. He also seems to hate company, as seen by the way he kicks us out of his lab. When he's nervous or eager, he stutters a bit.

Story[]

In Nexomon: Extinction[]

We learn of him for the first time during a cut scene in Cadium, where Amelie is in front of Vados at her laboratory. Logan enters the room and questions her as to why she hasn't sent the Guild after the player, since they intend to destroy her creation. She answers that if we(the player) can defeat Vados so easily, then there's no point for him, as she only cares about defeating all the Tyrants, regardless of who manages to do it. This ends the cut scene.

We meet him in person for the first time at Amelie's lab, when we're about to fight her. Before we can do so, Logan teleports in our way and, when questioned by Lydia about how he can support the existence of Vados, calls her close-minded for not giving him a chance. Amelie then orders him to attack us with Bolzen, as protecting Vados is the only reason he was allowed to keep his Tyrant in the first place. He does so, after some problems to get him to appear. Once we defeat him, Amelie sends Vados to the surface and the two of them escape.

We see him again in a cut scene where he's with Bolzen, planning to betray Amelie once Vados is weakened from fighting other Tyrants, as he doesn't expect him to be able to come after them in Cadium. At that moment, his Tyrant gets blasted, with Logan unable to do anything besides cursing Amelie for it.

We meet him again while trying to resurrect Bolzen at Cadium. As we have problems because of his soul resisting us, Zetta suspects it might be some brainwashing done by Logan. Derek takes us to the other scientist's house outside the city, where we find him being attacked by dragons. After we save him, he tells us he's been fully branded as a renegade by Amelie, who has betrayed him, so he can't return to the surface. As he has lost his Tyrant, he had been trying to create dragons to get his revenge on her. We tell him about our intention to revive Bolzen and ask him about the brainwashing. He gets angry, pointing out that souls don't have brains, and kicks us out of his house under the threat of giving away our intentions to Amelie if we don't leave.

Renegade Allies

Logan with the other Renegades joining us

Next we hear from him is at Tikala’s tree, where he shows up accompanying Lobo and the other renegades, to join us in our fight against Vados. We all go into the Cursed Tower to plan a way to lure Vados out of Parum City, agreeing on getting an airship to do so.

We meet him one last time at the Orphanage, once we have the airship, to discuss the last bits of the plan before starting it, but he doesn’t show up again during the fight itself.

Post-game[]

The Admin makes a mention involving him when she tells us about all the paperwork she has to do in order to get the renegades pardoned as per our request.

Besides that, he's waiting for us within the Guild's Tower, where he brings up the subject of the resurrection machine that Lobo and his cultists were working on. He's certain that, coupled with our ability, the machine would be able to bring back the Primordial Tyrants. To be able to construct it, he asks us to find the blueprints. After we bring those back to him, he will be waiting for us at different locations to resurrect them.

Abyssals DLC[]

He appears in various places within the Precursor Valley, where we can talk to him as he investigates different areas. Both him and Amelie had laboratories there and as we visit those, we learn from their previous investigations. He shares with us the information to get some of the discs with the data of those experiments and comments on the possibility of resurrecting such Nexomon with the current technology the Guild has. He also notices when we've brought them back.
