Nexomon Rebirth or simply Rebirth is a game mechanic in Nexomon.
After the main story arc, the protagonist is teleported to the Netherworld. In order to proceed deeper into the Netherworld to reach The Chasm, the protagonist must go through the barrier that prevents any Nexomon from going in or out. The only way to pass through the barrier is for all of the Nexomon in the protagonist's party be "reborn" through the ritual of rebirth. Only Miriam, one of the Netherworld's mystics, can perform the ritual.
Requirements[]
In order to access Rebirth, the player must have finished the main story arc. This means that the player must have defeated Omnicron atop Nexomon Tower. It is only after defeating Omnicron will the Netherworld story arc be available.
In the beginning of the Netherworld arc, the player be teleported into the Netherworld. After a short journey through the Netherworld, the player will encounter a magical Barrier that prevents Nexomon from going ] deeper into the Netherworld. It will be at this moment that Miriam will appear and explain to the player the ritual of Rebirth.
Only Nexomon that are atleast LVL 50 and has learned the entirety of its moveset will be qualified to undergo Rebirth. For example, Vulazy learns the final move in its moveset when it reaches LVL 48. However, Vulazy will still need to level up to LVL 50 in order to be qualified to undergo Rebirth.
Effects[]
Undergoing Rebirth reverts the Nexomon back to Level 5 and back to its initial evolution. From this moment on, any status gain that a reborn Nexomon obtains when leveling up is significantly increased, resulting to a stronger Nexomon compared to one that did not go through Rebirth. The most noticeable increase will be the maximum stamina points of the Nexomon. Whereas a normal Nexomon maxes out at around 115 to 130 stamina points, a reborn Nexomon can max out up to 180 stamina points.
Reborn Nexomon are indicated by a purple star at the right side of their banner.
All wild Nexomon encountered in the Netherworld are already reborn. Thus, Nexomon caught inside the Netherworld no longer need to go through the ritual of Rebirth. Reborn Nexomon also gives more experience points when defeated than Nexomon in the Human World. Thus, it is recommended that the player search and capture roaming Legendary Nexomon in the Netherworld so that there would be no more need to undergo Rebirth and re-train them.
Post-Netherworld[]
After the protagonist defeats all the Wardens in The Chasm, it will be revealed that all this time, the protagonist has been imprisoned in his own Nightmare world. Once the protagonist escapes his Nightmare and the Netherworld, Miriam would inform the player that Rebirth is no longer necessary for Nexomon to be able to travel through the Netherworld. Despite this, it is still very advisable that the player rebirths his Nexomon since reborn Nexomon are significantly stronger than normal Nexomon.
