Nexomon Wiki

For info about him as a Nexomon in Nexomon 1, see Metta.
For information about the term Nexolord, see Nexolord.

His real name is Metta, and, unlike his siblings, doesn't have a name for himself as a human. He calls himself "The Nexolord" as a human.

Profile[]

Appearance[]

As with all of Omnicron's children, he can shapeshift. In his human disguise, he takes the form of a teenager or young man. His eyes are light blue with slanted pupils and he has pointy elf-like ears. His hair is white and spiky, with a single blue strand sticking up at the front. He wears a black sleeveless shirt with gray pants, covered by a white and red coat hanging from his shoulders.

His Nexomon form as Metta is not based on a specific creature, in contrast with his siblings. His body is some sort of crystal ball with drapes attached to it.

Personality[]

He’s a rather one-dimensional villain, being very smug, disrespectful to others, and cruel towards humans in general. Although it’s not clear how much of his plans were his own ideas instead of Malk’s, he is still very intelligent, having learned much from the scientist and anticipating the player’s intentions.

In Nexomon 1[]

During the events of the game, he holds the title of Nexolord and is the main antagonist, working alongside his siblings to resurrect their father: Omnicron.

Years before the adventure begins, in his youth, he lived at a house east of the Frozen Tundra. Malk found him at this time and mentored him, teaching him everything he needed to know to resurrect Omnicron and destroy humanity. During this time, he would usually go into the western woods, to the lab that later served as the place for building the machine to resurrect his father.

Months (possibly a few years) before the player starts their adventure, he set his plans into motion. First, he defeated Remus to earn the title of Nexolord. Taking advantage of his position, he then appointed the current Overseers, recruited minions with Hendrick's help, got funding for the building of the resurrection machines from Miss Bella, and started the excavation in Solus. Besides these actions to resurrect his siblings and father, he also shut down any Pixekai-related research so humanity wouldn't have a place to escape to once Omnicron returned.

He makes his first appearance at the beginning of the adventure, while he was visiting the player's house to see the progress on the resurrection machine, since the player's parents were working on it. While he was busy with that the player gets involved in a fight with one of his minions, stealing one of his Nexomon to do so. Realizing this, he confronts them, but noticing how weak they are he dismisses them and leaves. However, even though he didn't consider the player a threat, he still warned the other Champions about someone opposing him, as noted later by Fenrir.

As the story progresses, he starts gathering the resources he needs for the next steps of his plan. He sends a broadcast to all the Overseers to capture certain scientists, including Ellie. She learns of this before the player does, and goes into hiding until she's finally kidnapped by Zetta at Royalle City. In parallel, the Nexolord is also trying to get a NexoCore to power the resurrection machine for Grunda. However, the delivery man discovers what he's carrying and tries to escape with the core, not wanting to cooperate with the Nexolord's plans. The delivery man finally entrusts the core to the player, and with this they become the target of both the Nexolord and his Champions.

In order to recover the NexoCore, the Nexolord sends his siblings after the player, while also hiring a Bounty Hunter to track them down, but before they can recover the item he finds a replacement, no longer needing the Champions to spend more time on that core. The mission to kidnap all the scientists succeeds as well, so the research of the resurrection machine for Omnicron starts.

With that part of his plan completed he goes to Solus' digsite, where the miners are about to reach Grunda's chamber. While Fenrir guards the entrance to the chamber, the Nexolord prepares the resurrection machine using the new NexoCore. By the time the player makes it into the room it's too late to stop him, and he resurrects Grunda, leaving to him the job of dealing with the player before teleporting away.

He goes back to the Frozen Tundra, where the investigation of the perfected resurrection machine is taking place. Once completed, the device is transported to the Nexolord's Tower, and he waits in there until the player finally arrives, resurrecting Omnicron once they do. During the ceremony to revive his father, he gives him his energy to bring him back, dying once he's defeated.

Trivia[]

  • He's the only child of Omnicron that:
    • Doesn't have a nightmare in the Chasm during the Netherworld DLC. He only appears as Metta roaming the world with the rest of his siblings.
    • Doesn't return in Nexomon: Extinction. While there's no in-game reason for this, one of the developers commented that he was too one-dimensional, which is one of the points they wanted to improve for the second installment[1]. This led to his removal.
    • Doesn't have a human name[2].
  • In Nexomon: Extinction there are a few side mentions of him:
    • He has a grave in the Haunted Woods that explains that he just sort of disappeared.
    • His statue at the Cursed Tower remains, but it's partially ruined.
    • After picking a male character during the game, the ghost of the adult hero wears his coat.
