In Nexomon: Extinction his type is changed to that of the Ghost -type. His design remained mostly the same.
It learns its skills each level between 1 to 12 probably due to the nature of you obtaining it at a pretty high level. There was no reason for the developers to make the levels it learns skills more unique.
