Xanders is one of the Grandmasters of the Guild, making him one of the most powerful tamers.
Profile[]
Appearance[]
He's a very muscular and tall man. He has short, spiky red hair, with brown eyes and a scar across his left temple. As the game mirrors images during dialogs, the scar sometimes shows on the right side. His facial expression is a constant scowl that only changes when enraged. He wears dark grey an black clothes, with some parts of his body covered by pieces of armor. Part of his face is hidden behind a high collar attached to his chest plate, and he also has a short cape buttoned to that same piece of clothing.
Personality[]
He seems to be in a constant state of anger, always ready for a fight. He has a complete focus on his objective of defeating Tyrants, and dislikes anything or anyone that gets in the way of that, never budging in his conviction. He only appreciates others if they're strong, efficient and completely aligned with his world view. This doesn't mean he's only good at fighting, as he has proven to be intelligent, anticipating our plans and discovering by himself the player's true nature.
Story[]
In Nexomon: Extinction[]
He appears for the first time to congratulate us when we're promoted to silver tamers, but we don't know who he is at this point.
We meet him again at the Drake Isles, right after Lydia and the Drake Masters fail to control one of her dragons. After a short exchange with her in which he shows his dislike for both her and her drakes, she leaves and we stay with him to help capturing Dracon. We bring him the Drake Vial to use it as a lure, which he applies on himself and then proceeds to punch and wrestle the dragon to the ground once it appears. He leaves the rest of the fight to us, deeming it a weak opponent and then takes the dragon back with him to the Guild.
The next time we meet him is at the Frozen Tundra bunker, right after Deena shows up and reveals she's a Tyrant. He steps in and confronts her, disappointed because even if he never liked her, he wasn't expecting her to be a traitor. This sentiment also extends to us as he learns about our Tyrant egg. Although she manages to damage him, he still fatally wounds her, leading to her death before she can explain to us her plan. He disappears right after the fight, likely too weakened to confront the rest of us.
We don't see him again until much later in the story, when we're in the process of resurrecting Eurus in the Drake Isles. At this point, he has figured out our secret. He goes over the multiple times we've been attacked by dragons, as well as the dragon outbreak from fifteen years ago, and concludes this is because we're a Tyrant in disguise infiltrating the Guild to sabotage Vados. He attacks us, and when it seems to be a lost fight, Nadine intervenes and sends him flying, possibly out of the isles.
The last time we see him is inside the Guild's Tower, as we're heading up to face Vados. He dismisses the rest of the guards to fight us alone. Before doing so, he asks us about how it felt to be raised in the Orphanage. That place was also his home, having lost his family to the hands of the Tyrants. His only reason to become a tamer was to bring them the same pain and terror that humans have to face due to their war. Once we defeat him, he states that it's fine for us to find Vados, as we will feel the same dread and helplessness.
Abyssals DLC[]
After not hearing from him again during the post-game and the rest of the DLC, he shows up right before we fight Braccus, still not accepting the way things have gone with us becoming the King/Queen of Monsters.
